Hush, don’t let the neighbors hear is an installation that explores the complex concept of home. Through a community of twelve, welded steel, photographic and parchment sculptures ranging from three to eight feet in height, the notion of home is explored. Each sculpture reveals an aspect of home life, from hope, perfection, innocence, fear, layers of emotional chaos, suspension of family codes, social conformity, abuse and secrecy to truth. A multi-faceted work involving sculptural artist’s books, light and sound, hush utilizes space, and memory to investigate personal stories held within ourselves and or homes.
